The Village of Mogadore in Ohio has already killed at least a dozen cats in the past two months due to a horrible policy that effectively places a bounty on community cats’ heads.
Advocates are voicing their concerns to the Mogadore Village Council, and YOUR voice is also critical. Tell Mogadore to STOP the policy targeting community cats. Express your disappointment in lethal action against cats and kittens in the village loud and clear.
Right now, the village is encouraging people in Mogadore to round up cats outdoors and bring them to Summit County Animal Control and shelter by paying the typical $25 fee for residents to surrender cats. If the shelter deems the cats too “feral,” they kill them. At least 12 cats have been killed since June because of Mogadore’s deadly policy. Owned cats are also in danger if they act “feral” due to the stress of being rounded up and impounded.
With a few clicks, you can make your voice heard. Tell Mogadore that you won’t tolerate cruel action against cats.
