Stop a Ban on Feeding of Community Cats in Parkersburg, West Virginia

This action is ONLY for residents of West Virginia

URGENT: We must act fast to stop a feeding ban against community cats in Parkersburg, West Virginia! The final reading of the ban is set for this month. So, please take just a minute to tell the Parkersburg City Council to vote NO.

If the proposed Article 505.24 passes this last reading, it will be illegal to feed community cats on Parkersburg city property, including parks. People who continue to feed would be fined hundreds of dollars for their compassion.

Feeding bans are ineffective and criminalize the action of advocates, leave cats who are accustomed to relying on feeding without that support, and make it impossible to carry out humane, effective approaches like Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). We have to raise our voices now and demand a stop to the ban.

Tell the Parkersburg City Council to reject the feeding ban against community cats.
